Benjamin Franklin--Born January 17, 1706.
Benjamin Franklin was one of the first people who realized that my friends and I existed. He demonstrated that lightning was a form of elecetricity. He also brought into use the terms "positive" and "negative" (which is me!). I really like this guy! See his picture below.

Alessandro Volta--Born Feburary 18, 1745.
Alessandro Volta and I met when he made a battery. This battery created a continuos flow of electricity. It consisted of disc made from different metals seperated by moistened absorbant material. This guy was pretty smart! Without his invention how would you drive a car or listen to music?

Thomas Edison--Born Feburary 11, 1847.
Thomas Edison and I were always very busy (and I had to travle a lot too). In 1881 he began building his first power stations; one in London and one in New York. The first public power supply was switched on in the small English town of Godalming. Before this, he invented the lightbulb. Wow, what a guy!
